Speaking of Names

I named our house. It feels a little foolish since house names aren't a common practice in the USA. In Britain people name their houses all the time (or used to) and I think it's quite a romantic tradition. This little house has so much personality it seemed to be just begging for a name, so I gave it one and painted a sign for it.

I don't think it's strange at all! My mom named our house in the woods in New Hampshire. I think it is very, very fitting. :)

LOVE IT! I love houses w/ names. Reminds me of Anne of Green Gables. What a great idea.

Me too! I kept thinking of Anne's houses, like Green Gables and Ingleside. Aren't those cool names? And if Anne lived here I think she would name this house something romantic too. :)

You painted that? You are amazing! I love that you named your house! I just watched Anne of Green Gables yesterday! I LOVE that show!!! I was so glad my parents spelled my middle name w/an E, just like Anne's! Chandler liked the part where Gilbert called her Carrots and she broke her slate over his head!
